How To Play

Setup

  • Map out the Crossbones® arena.

  • Push in the 6 marker pegs, take aim, and start this fun throwing game on grass or sand - at the park, beach, or backyard.

Gameplay

  • Games can be played between 2-12 players consisting of two teams.

  • Throw those bones about and Get On Top!

  • Be careful - different strategies are required depending on whether you play lawn games or beach games.

  • The team that scores the fewest points goes first in the following round.

Scoring

  • Land your bones on your opponent's bones to score points.

  • The more Crossbones® you claim, the more points you score.

  • For one of your Crossbones®, which is on top of your opponents at the end of a round, a point is scored.

  • Crossbones® must be completely over the center of opponents Crossbones® to score. Covering the end or covering with the end is not allowed.

  • To score, your Crossbones® must be directly above your opponents without one of theirs on top of yours.

  • Both players can score in the same round.

  • Games are plated to 7 “Sprint,” 11 “Classic,” or 21 “Marathon”

  • There is no bust rule in effect.

History

Crossbones® was created in Australia and designed to be a game for all ages. At one time, the game could be purchased directly through their website or through Etsy but it is currently unavailable for purchase.
