HORSESHOES
How To Play
Setup
Players aim to toss horseshoes onto a stake at the opposite end of the pitch.
Typically played with two players.
The game consists of multiple innings, with each player pitching two horseshoes in each inning.
Determine a point or shoe total to play towards (e.g., 40 points or 50 shoes per player).
Toss a coin to decide who pitches first in the first inning; winner chooses pitching order.
Gameplay
Pitch from either the left or right pitching area, maintaining the same side for both shoes in each inning.
Pitch both shoes within 30 seconds.
Aim for the stake underhandedly.
Score horseshoes after both players pitch.
Continue playing until a player reaches the decided point or ringer total or until both players pitch the agreed-upon number of shoes.
Scoring
Three points for a horseshoe landing as a ringer.
One point for horseshoes touching or leaning against the stake or landing within 6 inches.
The first player to reach the decided total wins the game.
