TURTLE BALL

How To Play

Set-up

  • Each player or team digs craters in the sand, creating spaces large enough to fit each of their six shells.

  • Arrange the shells in a pyramid shape, positioning them 10 to 15 feet from the opponent.

  • Smooth out the sand around the coconut shells to ensure they sit below the surface for optimal gameplay.

Gameplay

  • Players or teams take turns trying to sink the balls into their opponent's shells.

  • The objective is to flip the opponent's shells over after a successful throw.

  • After landing a successful throw, the player flips the opponent's shell over to signify a scored point.

Scoring

  • Points are scored by successfully sinking the balls into the opponent's shells and flipping them over.

  • The game emphasizes the objective of flipping all opponent shells to win rather than accumulating a numerical score.

  • The player or team that flips all of their opponent's shells first is declared the winner of Turtle Ball.

  • Note: Turtle Ball relies on the tactile element of physically flipping shells rather than a numerical scoring system.
