VIGG-AHH
How To Play
Setup
Vigg-ahh is versatile for both outdoor and indoor play, suitable for a gym or tennis court.
Players, aged 6 to 60 or more, should wear gym or tennis shoes for stable footing.
Gameplay
Mark off 10 ft goals at each end of the goal lines.
Measure 20 ft (for adults) from the center of the goal line to the mound.
For children, adjust the distance to maintain interest (10-12 ft from goal line).
Sidelines may be irregular, but the area around the mound should be proportional.
The court length should be 2 to 2.5 times the distance from the goal line to the mound.
Distance and boundaries can be altered by majority rule during a time-out.
Any player may call a time-out, but only VIGG can grant it.
VIGG is the only player who can officially call time-out.
Play resumes with VIGG calling "Play VIGGAAH" after a time-out.
VIGGSAHH must be on the mound for calls.
"In place" means the AAH's flat surface rests on the mound. For children, the AAH's lower base is recommended; for adults, upper base may be chosen.
Always toss the AAH underhand.
Toss AAHs from behind the goal line.
Players aim to stop their AAHs as close to the mound as possible.
Never throw the AAH; the farthest one designates the first VIGG.
First VIGG puts their AAH on the mound and calls "Play VIGGAAH."
Other players toss their AAHs at VIGG's AAH, attempting to knock it off.
Players must retrieve and pass their AAH past the goal line before being tagged by VIGG.
VIGG must have AAH in place on the mound for the tag-off to be valid.
Players may not run or step out of bounds.
No touching AAH, the mound, or other interference with feet.
If an AAH goes out of bounds, VIGG calls a time-out for the player to bring it back inside.
Scoring
VIGGAAH is played for enjoyment without a winner or loser, and without a set time limit.
A player becoming VIGG more often or longer is BIGGVIGG for that game.
Optional Scoring: Players may choose a point scoring method for a winner or loser.
Example: 1+ point for each safe AAH retrieve, 2+ points for knocking VIGG's AAH off, and -3 points for becoming VIGG.
A player reaching 15+ positive points is the winner; the one with the least or most points is the loser.
Scoring method is open to change by majority rule, but changes require a time-out.
